President Li Hongqu meets with delegation from Thailand

   At the meeting, Liu Ligang introduced the basic situation of Hubei higher education firstly, especially the current situation of Wuhan Polytechnic (WHPT) and the expectation of cooperation in vocational education between China and Thailand. Li Hongqu then warmly welcomed the guests on behalf of WHPT, and briefly introduced WHPT in terms of disciplines offered to students, cooperation with industries, admissions and employment, international cooperation and exchanges, talent cultivation of WHPT. The delegation showed their thanks for President Li Hongqu’s warm reception, thought highly of WHPT’ school-running achievements, and looked forward to improving Thai’s vocational education by entering into substantial partnership with WHPT and learning from each other. At the end of the meeting, WHPT reached a preliminary intent of cooperation with Sanphaikan Industrial and Community Education College in teacher and student exchange in terms of diploma programs related to automobile, mechanical engineering, construction engineering and computer technology, etc., and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with this college.

   During the visit, the delegation visited the practical training centers of the School of Textile and Fashion Engineering and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and had a nice communication with leaders, faculties and students of the two schools.
